- Shreya: When did you start your writing career?
Manya: "When your profession starts hindering
the way of your passion, turn your passion into your profession." I
believe, and that's how my love for writing has won through against all the
odds. Finally, I opted for writing as a career three years ago.
- Shreya: Who was the one who helped you the most through your whole journey towards success?
Manya: There are
many people around me who helped me throughout the journey. I can't take the
name of just one person. My uncle, mr. Amitabh Khare is my mentor; he helped me
to understand the way of writing. My brother Sarth Khare gave his precious time
to my book and drew my attention towards my mistakes and I also can't ignore the support of my husband,
who understood my dream and helped me to become a published author.
"Over 18,000 stalking and eve-teasing cases were registered in just three years, only in India. I realized it was not just happened with one girl; 18000 are those who raised an FIR, but there are many others who don’t have the courage of raising their voices. That’s why I recommend 'You Can't Draw My Destiny' to all the teenagers and young adults."
- Shreya: Is the story "You can't draw my destiny" Your imagination or a real story?
Manya: Though
it is a fiction, yet not completely my imagination. When I decided to write a
novel; I was looking for an inspiring story. One day, I noticed a statement on
progressing news ticker that one girl had committed suicide because she was
stalked, and blackmailed by someone. That news unknowingly dragged my attention
towards it. I googled the term stalking and perceived that over 18,000 stalking
and eve-teasing cases were registered in just three years, only in India. I
realized it was not just happened with one girl; 18000 are those who raised an
FIR, but there are many others who don’t have the courage of raising their
voices. That’s why I recommend 'You Can't Draw My Destiny' to all the teenagers
and young adults. If you want to know about laws on stalking you can read my blog 'Stalking Is Not Love'
- Shreya: What is your next novel about?
Manya: In my
next novel, I am trying to convey a message that there is always a way beyond millions of locked doors. Instead of
stepping on a wrong path, you just need to explore your thinking to reach on
that one door.
- Shreya: What inspired you the most to choose writing as your career?
Manya: It is my
own state of my mind that inspired me to choose it as a career. If there is
anything in this world making me happy, that’s my love for reading and writing.
It is a kind of healing therapy for all the emotional stresses, I get for any
reason. Writing is not just my hobby but my passion.
- Shreya: Which was your first book and when was it published?
Manya: You Can't
Draw My Destiny is my debut book and I self-published it in February 2019.

- Shreya: From what age did u start writing?
Manya: I have
been writing journals since my high school days and started writing poems and
short stories when I was doing B-tech. It was very difficult to get time for
writing after marriage, and with a hectic office schedule, but your strong
willpower, uncounted efforts and true prayers can change the entire scenario of
your life to fulfil your open-eye dream. Hence, I finally come up with this
novel.
